Week 3: Meet the new guy

We won 9-4. Jason lost his first singles game. Jason beats this guy 8-10 times but this game his opponent threw the game of his life... Jason threw well just didn't take his double out at the first oportunity.

180 baby! Yup Jason hit his first 180. I watched it! NICE... a few camera phone pictures were taken... if somebody sends me one I'll post it...

It very easily could have been 11-2... we played well. The new guy, Tom threw well but appeared to be off his game a bit. He will shake the rust off and he looked solid for his first time with the team.

Highlights... I don't remember much... well of course "cousin" Rob hit another +120... he hit 132... and as he put it... at least he hit the board this time... Usually when the first two are in the trip 20 the next one floats high on him... like I said before once he turns those 26's into 45's he will be dangerous...

Team game... umm... same as last week... we were way up... and I took out 40 with a single 20 & double 10...

Keith if you want to add some detail that would be nice... I just don't remeber much...

after all you guys left... Rob and I stuck around and played a game of killer with the other team... I won... cha-ching $$$...

Week 2: Captian screws up

We won 7-6. We came out flat... or I should say I came out flat. I couldn't hit anything... and then we were left with 58... whatever... I widdled it down and left us with 10... Keith hit a 5 then hit a double 1 to leave us with 3... instead of busting he tried to throw a 1... and missed the board leaving us a 1 double 1 out... which we failed to hit in 4 or 5 tries... and lost...

Ryan and Rob... loss... they had a chance to win so it was close... I don't remember much except that Ryan and Rob were down by about 100 then closed the gap at the end... but their oponent still had 1 or 2 shots at an out before they had a chance...

then we came storming back... Jason in the game of the nite... won his cricket game... again overcoming strong oposition... I played my cricket game... and my oponent started off with trip 20, trip 19... and I just couldn't make up the deficit... I tried... I hit trip just about everything... but he hit a few more trips and I never could get a big enough lead to kill the 20's & 19's... Ryan won his game and looked strong but definitely made it intersting by playing "who can get closest to the bull without going in" by himself at the end... but once his oponent broke the bull "seal" Ryan finished it off... Keith lost his cricket game. Again a close game that was decided by an early trip.

In doubles cricket I messed up... I was suppose to sit this one out... Rob was suppose to play and I was all excited with how I played my singles cricket game and put myself on the score sheet with keith... We were way down... and were behind on numbers... but I hit somewhere around 10 bulls to keep up alive... they just couldn't hit bulls and kept throwing points to take the lead in point... finally I needed a bull and a 16 to win... and I did it in 2 darts... It was a tough game... I forget what keith did in this game... as I was really trying to relax and focus on what I had to do...

Then Ryan and Jason won their cricket game. Again I have no clue what happened in this game because I went to buy beers...

x01... I played mediocre and lost... just missed my outs... played from behind the whole game... Ryan played an excellent game and almost took out 118... Rob played and lost but was competitive... I think in Rob's 3 x01 games he hit a tun or better in each and 120+ twice... once he works out those 26's and turns those into 45's he will be winning a bunch of games... Jason won his x01 game... ? Has he lost a singles game yet?

Team game... Um... typical JAFDT... we spanked them... it wasn't even close... For some reason we bring out the big guns for the team game! --

Week 1: Good Start!

We won the first x games in a row...??? we lost the last game of singles cricket and the last game of singles 501... (good job Sobo's)! Did we loose a doubles game as well... I am confused...

Game Recap (as best I remember it)...

#1 John & Ryan doubles 501... Ryan carried the team to a victory. We got out to a small lead and had 3 chances to double before they had their first legitimate shot. Then we came through.

#2 Jason and Keith doubles 501... I really don't remember much of this game... Keith hit the doulbe... double 4 I believe...

#3 John singles cricket... I won by alot. I got out to a big lead and never looked back... I hit a trip 20,19, & 18 in my first 3 turns... scoring 39...

#4 Ryan singles cricket... hmm... marathon... Ryan just was off... blanked first turn... hit 1 second turn... (opponent did the same thing)... Ryan ended up with a huge lead by hitting 1 & 2 a turn... and then hitting points when trying to bull...

#3 Jason singles cricket... This really was the game of the nite! Jay's oponent got off to a quick start and closed 20's and 18's and had pointed by the time I looked up. Jason was down 40 and it was his turn with 19's closed... they battled points back and forth and Jay had a 7 count on 19's that gave him a chance to close 18's and 20's... when he did his opponent had 17's closed but no 18's hit... They battled back and forth to the end... and Jason won... what a game!!! As captain I award this the Game of the Match!

#4 Keith singles cricket... For some reason I am thinking Keith lost this game. I don't remember much but I think keith was just not hitting trips and his opponent got a luck trip in the mix...

#5 John and Ryan doubles cricket... I started it off with a white horse... trip 20,19,18 Ryan then hit trip 17, 16,16... I hit a 16, 15,15... ryan hit a 15... blank blank... So it took us 10 to get to bulls then it took us 15 darts to close bull... 25 darts and 2 write-ups... 1 for cricket trips... 1 for 25 or under...

#6 Keith and Jason doubles cricket... again I think we lost this game... I think something got marked wrong on the score sheet... I forget what happened in this game...

#7 Keith singles 501... oponent got out to a quick start of 2 turns over 60 and keith started out with a couple of low scores like 20's... but then followed it with three 60's in a row... a 40 and then another 60... to bring him even coming down the stretch. Keith's opponent had a timely <20 turn and keith finished in an expected amount of time... this game was a quintessential example of Keith's consistent throwing...

#8 Jason singles 501... If I remember this was a spanking... Jason took out 22 with his first dart...

#9 Ryan singles 501... I don't remember much of this game except that I kept thinking Ryan was going to hit a 180... hit throw really came back in this game. In the end Ryan had 87 and I said... trip 17, double 8 (18)... and he said yup... then did it... That was the big out of the nite...

#10 John singles 501... I really didn't throw bad... I hit my share of 80's but my oponent started with a 140 and I never caught up... my one chance to even the score I threw a 24 (trip 1 in there)... I did get down to 78 but he hit his out on the next turn... Oh well...

#11 Team 801... um... we went out and they had upper 200's left... we really threw some big darts and they had a bunch of breakfasts...

Player of the match:Tough one... I'll go with Jason for that amazing game of cricket.

schedule posted

We are playing on the west side... Kind of a rough schedule for Ryan... not to nice for Me and Rob... but we will play at BJ's 7/12 times (one other team is playing there as well). Gunselman's tavern is on the list as well and that is a Trails location (Sunday) so it must be a nice place... I figure this session we will not have to worry about the line being too far!
See you all there Monday! Oh the link to our schedule in the left nav is updated...
