Only two home games left

So... as Ryan said... it is not worth changing bars... But winter league is at a new bar... for sure... Mondays... and we will add Rob to the team... I think...

Changing Bars

F@!# Casey's... Steve and I were in there throwing darts and some middle aged Yahoos trying to relieve their middle school days (the last time they were cool) came over and told us we were done playing darts cause they were dancing... So after they were done I went over to the guy and said "hey, Any time you want to dance just ask... don't be rude and tell me... just ask... "... he asked me to step outside and I told him to grow up and act like and adult... he turned his back to me...

A bit later one of his buddies kept stepping in front of the dart board. Steve grabbed him cause he was about to get stuck... again they want to fight... so we call John (bar owner) over and he walks right to the dart board and turns off the light.

I called him over... blah blah blah... basically he don't want us in there anymore... all the cash we dropped in that place... he says that... f him... We were doing the right thing... he could have came over and talked with us... no he has to be an @ss about it...

So I say we call BJ's and go there the rest of the season...

Week 10: not too good

Ryan and I started the nite with what should have been another write up. We failed to hit our doubles to get out and the other team caught up (were down by over 150) and hit their double to win and get the write up.

Don't know what to say we won 6-5 and played uninspired darts.

Keith came of the Player Unable to Perform list... and threw ok. Steve threw 2 95's in our killer game but failed to hit the broad side of a barn in our cricket game together. But then again I failed to hit bulls at the end after opening them in 2 darts... I then missed 10 darts in a row at bulls...

Ryan had a great team cricket game... um... I think he had more marks than the rest of us combined... in fact he may have hit trip 20,18,17,16... and we hit 1 20, 3 19's and 2 15's and 2 bulls... he had the rest...

We played our normal solid killer game. Keith held strong... Steve knocked out his guy... Jason thew solid and took some marks for Ryan...

We all were just a bit off... Oh... one thing... Ryan had a bunch of bounce outs... even threw a temper tantrum and thew his dart in the floor one turn... and another kicked his dart and it went under the bowling machine... lol... hehehe...

Week 9: Too Good!

Two more write-ups... Ryan and I threw a 36 dart doubles 501 game. Doesn't feel like it should qualify cause it's only 41 per turn ave. But I guess for a Bronze (lowest level)... ok. We also threw a team 601 dido writeup again with a 37 dart game which is about 49 points per turn. So in the first 3 games we scored 3 wins and 2 writeups.

We won 8-3 but it could have easily been 11-0 but should have been 9-2. We lost the team fido and we were 150 points plus ahead of them when we tried to double out... we somehow got on double 12 and ryan chopped it... wire out... from 2bl 12 to 6, 3 leaving us with a 1 double 1 out. Just missed them all... I had two cracks at it... the first time I hit the 1 then the dart slipped out of my hand... The second time I was just low on my doulbe shot.

We played well as a whole team. Steve had a week 1 like performance in cricket but we won and in true "team" form. He didn't hit much all game but hit the bull to win it. Now that I think about it... I don't think I hit anywinning darts... correction I hit 17, 10, 10 to close out spanish cricket.

Ryan... had difficulty staying motivated... blah blah blah thew good when we needed it... Jason... standard pull it out of his butt darts! He is nearing a break through. I was where he is not too long ago. When you become capable of 5 dart + turns yet often only hit 1 dart turns. When he gets the consistent 2 dart turn with the 5+ turns mixed in there he will be dangerous.

Steve... peaked and will have to deal with a short platue in his development... but I predict he will have another jump in his playing before the season ends...

There really were no dramatic darts throw as most games were not close. The only game that had some serious tension was the cricket game Steve and I threw. They opened 20's... I opened 19's and scored 38. They opened 18's... Steve blanked but slopped a 17... they closed 19's... I hit 5 17's scoring 51. making it 89-0... They got mad I was scoring. We were still down darts. That is only 5 20's away from the lead. And we need 6 darts to close 20's and 18's... plus our 3 darts on 17's. The last dart was the tripple giving us a small lead but we were definitely going to be closing on our next few turns. As it turned out we won... barely... and actually had to hit bulls and score on them to win. My first turn I hit 3 bulls and then blanked for 3 turns... in 6 turns they managed 2 bulls and then steve popped one.

That game made the other team mad. How I pointed. Their reasoning was that my strategy was silver or gold level thinking. Also I was throwing some wicked darts... even my bad turns looked good (like 2 trip 10's and a single 15)... add that in with Ryan not being motivated and then when a little pressure was on he hits big... they said they were filing a complaint because we don't belong in this division. We told them we asked to be put in silver but they wouldn't put us there because we were all first-timers...

Keith has been upgraded moved from the DL to IR. He is listed as Questionable for next week but may be spotted on the sideline imbibing his favorite libation. Hey team... post your comments if you remember any great shots you hit our your team mates hit. It was a blur to me... I really should bring a little spiral notebook and write some stuff down...

Red Eyes gone

I checked the standings at the CDC website and either Red Eyes have been dropped or they changed their name to "bye"...

Week 8 (a side note)

The Cavs game was on and all I can say is this.... lol!

Killer, Killer & a write up!

Wow... what a night of darts. whoooie...

I am almost speachless. I have to mention the final game first... Killer. I nite when 41 & 45 were definite marks. In this killer game I hit 60 (3 fatties) 5 out of six turns and in that process took 3 marks! And only gave 3 marks to the guy after me... and Ryan followed that guy and only took 1 mark... a bunch of 80's, 90's, and we even saw a 120+ out of Pits! I think it was 133 but I forget and that sounds weird... cause I think he started it out with a trip 12? The game ended with them having one person and then ryan followed by Jason... their guy hits big... ryan should have taken his mark... but he threw and missed... I think he hit 3, 7, trip 19... 67... oh and we are at anybody misses they are out! In fact the whole board was like that just a few turns before! So... first dart 19... second dart... bounce out or missed the board... forget... third dart.... TRIPPLE 19!!!!! their guy trows 22 or 41 and we win!

We won 8-3... against the best team in our wed. division.
strangely enough... I was involved in all our losses... and I played execellent (except 1 one cricket game ryan and I had)... But I was back to my Doubling form... I doubled us in and out in team 601 game. We qualified for a write-up with buy closing it out in 28 darts. We hit a trip 20 at least 5 turns in a row... Jason hit 22 I think to leave Ryan a trip 19, double 19 out... he hit the trip 19 and missed with two darts at the trip 19... then I hit it...

In other news... Everybody got a chance to hit the winning dart this week... Jason won a cricket game with a bull (only dart he hit that game... lol... Ryan was on FIRE!!!)... Jason also won killer (not exactly last dart win but it was huge... Steve doubled out 32 by hitting 8, doulbe 9, then double 3? something like that...
oh Jason also took out his doubles 01 game with a dart... um... I don't remember Ryan closing a game? I vaguely remember him hitting a trip 16 or trip 8 but I don't remember if it was a finish... maybe ryan didn't actually "close" a game but he put Jason on his back and carried him in the cricket game!

We all threw well... the team we played thew better than anybody we have faced... we were just on.. .if we threw like that last week it would have been an 11-0 route!

Keith is still layed up with his "getting off the couch" induced back injury... Darn L5's...

I need to update our schedule... Great shooting TEAM!
